Pregnancy Tests
If you think you might be pregnant, schedule an appointment to know for sure. We offer free lab-quality pregnancy tests. We understand you likely have many questions, and we want to put you at ease. Scroll through the questions below to find the answers you need.
How Does A Pregnancy Test Work?
During your appointment, we collect a small sample of urine to use for the test. A urine pregnancy test detects the presence of hCG, a hormone associated with pregnancy. If the test detects hCG, that means you are pregnant.
Even if you’ve already taken a home pregnancy test, it’s important to confirm your results with St. Gerard’s for accuracy and support.
What Are Pregnancy Symptoms?
Although every women’s body is different, there are some universal pregnancy symptoms that you may begin to experience.
Early Symptoms:
- Nausea with or without vomitting
- Tender, swollen breasts
- Increased Urination
- Fatigue
- Light Spotting
- Bloating
- Cramping
- Food Aversions
